Nepalase born Thapa is the Head Waiter at Grille and has worked here for 5 years. When he is not working he is a self confessed gym freak, although by his own admission he has been slacking a little of late!

He won’t let us in on his hidden talents (although has told us we can ask his wife!!!), however he has shared a few little insights with us...

What do you enjoy most about being part of this team?

Being part of a large multicultural staff, I love the fact that the staff are so talented and that they bring with them a vast wealth of knowledge of cuisines from all over the world; British, Nepalese, Indian and even Chinese.

Which dish and drink would you recommend?

My favourite is The Lamb Steak with some Veramonte Merlot to wash it down!

What is your claim to fame?

I was the waiter serving the guests at Vereen’s house on Come Dine With Me when they filmed the Barnsley episodes. It was great fun because I knew 3 of the participants, as they are my customers at Chilli and Grille.
